Karam Kalsi is a research assistant in renewable energy and sustainability, within the Energy and Climate Change Division and Sustainable Energy Research Group.

Karam holds an integrated Master’s degree (MEng) in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Driven by a strong interest in renewable energy, he joined the ECCD to explore innovative solutions at the intersection of sustainability and engineering. His initial research focused on the potential synergy between tidal energy generation and flood alleviation in UK estuaries under the supervision of Professor AbuBakr Bahaj and Dr Luke Blunden. Subsequently he has contributed alongside Professor Patrick James and Dr Manfren Massimiliano investigating overheating risk in UK schools, as well as Dr Philip Turner and Dr Ellis Ridett on the LATENT project.
