Call for Papers
Special Issue on “Addressing Unified Energy Systems in Cities: Low Carbon Power, Transport and Construction”
The Energy and Climate Change Division is pleased to invite submissions to a Special Issue (SI) within Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments (SETA) journal (7.0 Impact Factor and 17.3 CiteScore) focussing on integrated approaches to urban decarbonisation and sustainable transitions. This SI arose from the papers presented at the International Conference On Evolving Cities and Towns (#ICEC2025) held in Southampton in July 2025. It invites contributions that present research, modelling, and case studies related to Sustainable cities/towns, with a focus on:
• Low carbon transport,
• Distributed renewable generation,
• Affordable and clean energy access,
• Clean cooking,
• Smart construction,
• Policy and governance in sustainable transition.
Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal online submission system which includes detailed submission guidelines. Once your manuscript is accepted, it will go into production and will be simultaneously published in the current regular issue and pulled into the online Special Issue. Articles from this Special Issue will appear in different regular issues of the journal, though they will be clearly marked and branded as Special Issue articles.
