Dr Arif Anwar is Associate Professor and Head of Office, International Water Management Institute, Pakistan within Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Southampton.

I describe myself as a Research Engineer. As an engineer what motivates me is to seek solutions to problems. As a researcher I seek innovative solutions to problems. I specialize in water resources and particular water resources for agricultural productivity. I am particularly interested in the interface between the engineering/irrigation infrastructure and the individuals and institutions that use and govern this infrastructure.

I am currently on sabbatical and have taken up a position with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) where I am Principal Research and Head IWMI Pakistan.
