The 5th International Conference on Evolving Cities & Towns (ICEC 2025) will be taking place at the University of Southampton, Southampton, UK from 16 – 18 July 2025.

Following the success of previous conferences, ICEC 2025 will address the important issues related to cities and towns and their evolution, be it through infrastructure, energy, data, carbon, comfort or wellbeing. Cities consume around 75% of our energy and emit around 60% of carbon emissions, hence impacting the environment and society.

Why attend?

Industry and local authorities will benefit from interacting and networking with parties at the forefront of progressing towards sustainable cities and towns.

For researchers and academics, submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Panel and published in an ICEC 2025 Book of Abstracts, indexed with a DOI. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit papers to the conference proceedings which are also indexed with individual DOIs. Authors will also be provided the opportunity to submit their papers to supporting journals.
