International Conference on Evolving Cities & Towns

The Energy and Climate Change Division organised and hosted the 4th International Conference on Evolving Cities (ICEC 2023) on the 12th-14th September 2023 at the newly built University of Southampton Centenary Building (B100) situated within the Highfield Campus at the University of Southampton, Southampton, UK.  The conference will build on the success of the three previous iterations of the conference; ICEC 2022, ICEC 2021 and ICEC 2019.

ICEC 2023 aims to bring together leading academics, policy-makers, regional and non-governmental organisations and the private sector to debate the major role of cities and towns in tackling the climate crisis and accelerating the transition to net-zero carbon. These issues are reflected in the conference themes.
